Our brave, determined, head-strong girl flew the coup to spread her wings and beauty in a new realm. My heart tugged as a realised that someone else would watch you through your days as you discover this exciting new world.

Ian was a hard working, happy, generous, warm, respectful, loving young man. He lived hard and fast, always a worry to his parents and our grandmother, but his smile and charm would light up a room. I knew how much we loved him, but I did not know the incredible impact he had on the lives around him until Tuesday. However, I am reminded of a Truth as we navigate through his loss. Saturday, August 29, 2009. I love running outside now. Each mile seems to pass by quickly. Now when I run on the treadmill it seems to drag on forever - even just running 3 miles is like torture. It used to be the opposite - I thought running outside was so much harder. It does take more effort, but it is worth it. Saturday, August 22, 2009. August 22 5 mile run. This was not a very good run for me. I just felt like I could not get in a rhythm.
